Doody's Rating: * * * * First impression -- this book is absolutely beautiful. It is replete with color photomicrographs and the color reproduction is excellent and faithful. It is a delight simply to look at the pictures. Once past this initial impression, the factual excellence of this book emerges……This book is going right next to my microscope. I will carry it with me for reference whenever I want my Wright-Giemsa stained preparation evaluated by my partner who has the Pap stain counterpart. It's a great book.

Well written practical textbook for practicing pathologists. Comes with good pictures and diagrams. Good number of pictures are of thin layer preparations. Good discussion of how to distinguish mesothelial cells from carcinomas.
