This is the best epi book for beginners that I have come across. It is written by one of the greatest epi-teachers. Leon Gordis has a great teaching style. The book essentially covers the topics we covered in class. I enjoyed reading this book when I was a student and now that I have students myself I recommend this text to them...they all love it. Worth the money.

This is a wonderful study that really causes you to think hard about our functional gods. WORD OF WARNING...at the time of this review I see that it is priced at a minimum of $23.95 by independant sellers. This book retails for $12.95 at Lifeway and livingroomseries.com and it is not out of print.

No Other Gods is one of the best, soul searching studies I have ever done. It makes you face the things you have made a god in your life, and deal with them! If you are struggling with fear, materialism, success, this is a great study to help you get perspective!

Challenging and Thought Provoking

I have found that many Bible studies unfortunately are watered down and ask basic regurgitated QA. This is not the case with Minter's book. It really challenged me to think about the things that I treasure more than God....what is in competition for my time and devotion.
Her definition of idol is "something other than God that we set our heart on, that motivates us, masters and rules us, or that we trust or serve." If you really want to be challenged to make God first in your life, this is the study for you.

This is the best book we've had in my RN, BSN program so far. The content is very easy to read. The sentences are kept short and to the point. The content is repeated over and over in different places in the chapters as well as throughout the book, making it easier to remember the main points. The summaries at the end of each chapter really focus on the main points and great for last minute updating. I wish all of our books in nursing school were this good.

I bought this in conjunction with the Textbook of Clinical Echocardiography. It simplifies what the textbook has. The review guide is just that-it gives an overall review of the exam-what images to take, the position to take them in, what is seen in each image, etc. I think it's great for a review or for someone just starting out in the field.
