Priscilla is married to Jerry with whom she founded Going Beyond Ministries. They have three sons and live in Dallas, Texas.

Amazing study

This study is very worth your time. We all have interruptions in our life and wonder why. Priscilla ties together the story of Jonah and how today many us are like Jonah in the sense we are trying to flee from God's will and plan for us . The study and videos that go along with the study, inspire and encourage you to take a look at yourself and see what you are trying to run from, but in your heart know that it is God preparing you for an amazing journey in your life.

Divine Appointments

Divine appointments is the bottom line of this study. Priscilla is good in the DVD. Very upbeat. Proves there is a lot more to Jonah than the whale thing. I think the member book could go a little deeper - seems kinda light. Like the length of the DVD's - usually 1/2 hour. Recommend it for a study on your own or in a group.

Women's Bible study

I have participated in this study twice: once as a church-wide Weds evening study and once with a women's bible study group. I felt this study was very accessible for both new and mature Christians. The lessons are a very appropriate and helpful antidote to our culture's attitude that God is trying to punish us when events happen that confuse and clutter our plans for our lives.
The workbook (purchased separately) asks questions and directs study to other places in the bible where people were struggling issues similar to Jonah's. There were also insightful questions to help evaluate your own willingness to obey God. While this DVD series could stand on it's own without participating in the workbook (some studies are impossible to follow if you haven't done the homework), the workbook does take the study deeper.
I believe this study could be very powerful for young adults class and I definitely recommend it for ladies bible classes. (Our 92-yr-old member who just transitioned into a nursing home just loved the idea of her messed up life plans as being part of God's Divine Interruption).
This study does hold a mirror up and ask you to take a good look at your obedience (or defiance) to God. It was definitely uncomfortable at times.

The sessions ran about 30 minutes in length.
I would recommend this study for women of all ages with 1+ hour to meet.

It's a good book for what it is...

This is just a sort of overview, not an in depth pharm class, so this book is perfect. The layout is very nice, each chapter follows the same outline: Med, how it works, dosing, side effects, adverse effects, what to tell patient, clinician duties & life-span considerations for peds, pregnant, elderly. It really is a great book for "getting into it", what I mean by that is that I never read the books for class, but this one you really have to get into it, work with it, live with it, its very good for that kind of studying,

This book is such as easy read! I am a nursing student and our old book was way too complicated. This book is easy to follow and covers what I need to know as a nurse.

Great book but it left me wanting the final book of this "trilogy" which is 17 years late

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The characters from Fear Nothing continue in this book with some good additions. I was glad to see that Mungojerrie, the cat from Fear Nothing has a larger role in this book. However, I have a warning for those about to read this book. This series was intended to be a trilogy and when I reached the end of Seize the Night it was obvious that there was more to come. Trouble is, this was published 18 years ago and Mr. Koontz has not seen fit to write the third book and conclude this series. I was left with the feeling you get when you are caught up in a television series and it is cancelled in the middle of a season. No doubt Odd Thomas is more profitable but it would be decent of Mr. Koontz to finish this "trilogy" or perhaps publish a revised edition of Seize the Night that doesn't introduce new questions in the final pages.

narration is great

I didn't appreciate this book much when I was younger, and thus would actually stop the Hitchhiker trilogy after the third book. However, coming back to this older and wiser [sic] I appreciate this now as Arthur Dent's absurdist existential crisis.

The Freeman narration is great and the audio production was effective and relatively unobtrusive.
